It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Lou (Yarborough) Romans, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, who peacefully departed this life on July 14, 2025 at the age of 91 at Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City, Missouri.
Born on October 16, 1933 in West Plains, Missouri, Betty lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She spent her days nurturing her loved ones, sharing her wisdom, and embodying compassion in every word and action.
Betty is survived by her son Jesse; grandchildren Dan, Jack, Kaci, James, Joshua, and Emmanuel; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other close relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur Thomas Yarborough and Lucy Rebecca (Woods); siblings Henry, Hazel, John, George, and Dorothy; husband Granville McArthur “Art” Romans; and sons Jacky and James.
A celebration of life for Betty will be scheduled in the fall. Friends and family are welcome to attend and honor the beautiful life she led.
