Robert G. Newsome, Jr. (August 8, 1952-January 3, 2026) grew up in Roscoe and Osceola where he learned to love his family, hunting, fishing, and the Chiefs. He married Donna Marie Phillips on June 20, 1970. He worked at B&D in Ft. Scott and O’Sullivan’s.
Survived by Donna, children: Steven (Tammy) Newsome, Robin (Bob) Benn, and Stacy (Brandon) Newsome; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings: Julia (Sam) Masten, Patty (Bill) Garrett, and Virginia Arkel, and Frank (Esther) Newsome. Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Marietta (Harris) and Robert G. Newsome, Sr. and siblings: Herbie Meeker, Ricky Newsome, and Dorothy Moreno.
