Appleton City Area Schools: Funds are needed for the backpack program housed by Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City and made possible by the community. There are currently 37 packs of food being sent homme with school children weekly. Donations may be made to TUMC, in memo - “Backpack”, and sent to the church at 214 E. Third St., Appleton City 64724. All assistance is greatly appreciated.
Lakeland Schools: The Lakeland R-III Schools’ art department is asking for donations of items for students to use for their creative art projects. Needed items (new or gently used) consist of: school-appropriate hardbound books (1/2” thick or 200 pg., any size and condition), yarn, embroidery floss, ribbon, buttons and sewing embellishments, beads, scrapbooking paper and trinkets, stamps and ink pads, stencils, envelopes, greeting cards, old maps or atlases, egg cartons, yogurt cups, brown paper grocery bags, bubble wrap, baby food jars, and/or any other items you believe could be use in creativity. All donations are appreciated and may be dropped off at the school on regular in-session school days.
